ABOUT THIS EVENT
For our fourth and final Imposter Syndrome Event of 2020, we’re excited to welcome Sadie Freeman. Sadie is a former HR professional – having previously managed the Learning & Development program for Jamie Oliver’s Restaurant Group in London, she switched things up in 2018 and retrained as a developer through the Lighthouse Labs Web Development Bootcamp in Vancouver. She now works as a Backend Engineer for Dapper Labs and is part of the team building NBA TopShot, a new project in the Blockchain space. Last year she volunteered as an instructor with the Entoto project, an organization that teaches women in Ethiopia Web Development. Her first foray into coding was when she made a Neopets guild page with HTML as a kid, and proudly had four members, even though the page took a solid five minutes to load.
The Impostor Syndrome Series is a series of ‘fireside chats’ with individuals who work in tech to discuss how they’ve experienced and navigated imposter syndrome throughout their career. Presented by Dyspatch and Lighthouse Labs, the Imposter Syndrome series seeks to provide relatable experience from tech business leaders and educators.
